MONITORING
The market monitoring is an essential function, designed to create confidence in the market, ensure its efficiency and integrity and promote its liquidity.
This activity, carried out within GME by a dedicated structure, provides for the daily supervision of the market transactions, including through automatic alerts and specific procedures in order to identify any conduct of the operators that are inconsistent with the provisions of the Regulations/Disciplines of the GME markets and of the National and European reference standards.
Institutional collaboration
GME collaborates to the monitoring of ARERA, providing data, reporting, analysis and simulations. This collaboration, initiated within the instrumental activities that GME performs pursuant to Resolution ARG/elt 115/08 (TIMM) and 631/2018/R/gas, was established by Law n. 161 of 30 October 2014 (in force since 25/11/2014), that allows ARERA to employ GME when investigating suspected cases of market abuse. At European level, GME works closely with ACER in the different groups of experts aimed at the implementation of Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011 (REMIT)
